Apart from this, they have created a television series for Prime Video “Suzhal: The Vortex” which also received praise for its script, direction, and cast performances. Suzhal: The Vortex Recap
Created and written by Pushkar Gayathri, it revolves around a fictional town, Sambaloor, in Nilgiris District, Tamil Nadu, where a person goes missing. The investigation uncovers shocking events, revealing secrets that shake the town.
The series consists of eight episodes which all have a compelling cliffhanger that keeps you eager to watch the next one. You’ll find yourself stuck to the series because each episode reveals something intriguing that keeps your excitement alive till the very end.
Suzal: The Vortex was released on 17 June 2022 in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. It is available on Prime Video for streaming.
Suzhal: The Vortex Season 2 Renewal Status
The series has already received appreciation, and fans have been waiting for updates about the upcoming season. Suzal: The Vortex has been renewed for the second season.
Prime Video and Aishwarya Rajesh, who played the lead role in the series as Nandini, Shanmugam’s older daughter, published a post on her Instagram handle for the series’ second anniversary, and also confirmed Suzal: The Vortex is also renewed for a new season. She tagged the show creator Pushkar-Gayathri and Bramma G who directed the first season.

What’s Next from Pushkar-Gayathri?
At the moment, Pushkar-Gayathri are working on the second season of Suzhal: The Vortex, which is scheduled for release in 2025 if everything goes as planned. However, any delays in shooting could also push back the release date.
Apart from Suzhal: The Vortex, they are working on the script for Don 3: The Final Chapter where they will be assisting Farhan Akhtar in the writing.
