Lucky Bhaskar was one of the best films of 2024 which met with positive reviews and emerged as Dulquer’s highest grosser. The film is about a middle-class man, Bhaskar Kumar whose family’s financial condition is poor. He borrowed money from several people who humiliated him. Like everyone else, he also wants to give his family a better life, which leads him to engage in financial scams. The screenplay was pretty impressive which glued you to the screen. Top of that, Dulquer Salmaan’s performance won hearts.
Directed and written by Venky Atluri, Lucky Bhaskar is said to be inspired by the scams that used to happen in the past. Although the film’s disclaimer clearly states, it is a fictional story. Gafla
Released in 2006, Gafla was directed by Sameen Hanchate who served as a co-writer as well, with Rajiv Velicheti and Bijesh Jayarajan. The film was inspired by the 1992 Indian stock market scam which involved Harshad Mehta and several other bankers and politicians on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Despite the negative reviews, the film earned several nominations and received the third Cyprus International Film Festival. You will like the film and it was made at that time when nobody wanted to make a film about scams. The film stars Vinod Sharawat, Shruti Ulfat, Vikram Gokhale, and Bijendra Kala in the main roles.

Saif Ali Khan starring Baazar was released in 2018 and received mixed reviews from fans and critics. The film revolves around money, power, and business, focusing on the stock market. The story highlights the struggle for success and the greed for wealth.
Along with Saif Ali Khan, it stars Rohan Vinod Mehra, Radhika Apte, and Chitrangada Singh in the key roles. The film is directed by Gauravv K. Chawla and produced by Nikhil Advani under Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Kyta Productions, Emmay Entertainment, and B4U Movies.

Big Bull is a crime drama film released directly on Disney+Hotstar on 8 April 2021. It is based on the life of Harshad Mehta who was involved in several financial scams. The film received mixed reviews and fans called it a one-time watch.
It is often compared with the acclaimed TV series Scam 1992 that’s where people are disappointed because they have already watched the series in detail whereas the film is a quick rush of the same storyline.
Abhishek Bachchan’s performance was impressive in the character of Hemant Shah which was based on Harshad Mehta. The film also stars Ileana D’Cruz, Nikita Dutta, and Sumit Vats in the main roles. Directed by Kookie Gulati, it is produced by Ajay Devgn FFilms and Anand Pandit Motion Pictures.
Special 26
Right from the start until the end, Special 26 holds the fans to the screen just because of the tight screenplay. Neeraj Pandey who directed the film doesn’t need several twists and turns in the script to make the film engaging. If you have watched this film, you would agree that this is something extraordinary we saw from Pandey’s portfolio.
Special 26 was based on the heist that happened at the Opera House branch of Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri & Sons Jewellers in Bombay in 1987. Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kumar posed as fake CBI officers and robbed politicians and businessmen. Along with them, Manoj Bajpayee who played the role of the real CBI officer Waseem Khan joined the force to catch them.

Raid is the best captivating crime thriller film. It was about a brave and honest income tax officer named Amay Patnaik who conducts a raid on Rameshwar Singh’s house who is a very powerful man in his town Sitagarh.
The film has enough twists and suspense which keep you hooked to the screen. Still, many say it has a predictable story but the way the director has presented the story for the audience was truly remarkable. If anyone wants to watch a movie on how raids get conducted, It is the best film for them.
